Discord is No Cause for Despair. Create.

Many voices, communities, echo chambers may not be the sign of discord, difference pejoratively. Difference, not opposition. Is unity. Simply finding community.

There can be difference. It says there may be smaller units, rather than larger units, in the face of consolidation. Of dissolution of power, distribution among communities. In Small and smaller circumstances.

When you look at democracy in the United States, you see a two party system. And you see it as looking like it is built on the foundation that we are to blame for society. That we are to blame for the world, for the state of being itself. That the state is something of shame and condemnation. It is like the mystics in Critchley’s book feeling they have to work to be part of the divine. That they are cut-off, otherwise foreign, from true experience. Or a skilled buyer, talking down an asset to those who are selling it: here, the people. Of course whoever can paint a picture of what it truly could be. Look at the chambers I’ll build. Look at the greatness we can be. A picture of the greater the salvation, the most is ultimately triumph. Promised attainment.

What do we create in addition to what we create? It seems built on that reality.

The world is not good or bad. But just is. That we have the ability to do great things. Ultimately, to create. We don’t need salvation. We don’t need the parlor trick of to triumph. The community or group appears. Or family. Or whatever it is if we want. And just keep going. Like the answer. We just need to create and keep creating.

And never despair.
